Technical and Logistics Specialist

Key Role:

Assist in the development and execution of product support strategies and logistics support that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Product Support (IPS) for acquisition programs that includes both hardware and software. Provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and production support on acquisition logistics management activities to include development of acquisition logistics documentation, and evaluating the regulatory requirements to develop, field, and transition equipment and software. Provide technical assistance in the development of logistics product support strategies or packages and provide technical assistance and solutions to resolve issues involving the development and delivery of logistics products. Support logistics actions to include the Basis of Issue Plan (BOIP) Feeder Data process, author Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, and support material release activities and equipment Modified Work Orders and logistics documentation. Support follow-on development of IPS element within the program systems portfolio product lines in the early development, planning, and staffing of critical design documents necessary to field tactical communication system capabilities to the objective Force in accordance with AR 700-127, AR 700-142, and DA PAM 700-142. Apply the principles of life cycle management, and as a component expert, consider facilities, equipment, geographic and climate conditions, and usage projections to oversee and monitor the planning and implementation of comprehensive DoD component logistics programs to include integration with environmental and safety requirements. Provide depot level support to include maintenance of Program of Record and Non-Standard Equipment (NS-E) and its components, inventory management, spares and supply support, emergency on-site field service, activity reports, and accountability of repair activities in the field, and maintain and submit failure analysis data to help desk and track material end to end closing out all work requests. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with acquisition logistics and ILS
  • Knowledge of IPS and acquisition logistics documentation
  • Ability to serve as an expert logistics management specialist, including directing, developing, and performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of IPS for major complex systems that encompass new and emerging technologies or complicated fielding requirements
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of transition equipment and software, product support plans, BOIP Feeder Data, Lifecycle Sustainment Plan, Maintenance, including at the Depot Level or Direct Support and Organizational level, technical supply, maintenance warranty or organic maintenance, and maintenance of Program of Record and NS-E
  • Bachelor's degree
  • DAWIA Level I, II, or III Acquisition Lifecyle Logistics Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,400.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
