Nuclear Operations Expert

Key Role:

Leverage expertise and support for operational Air Force nuclear systems. Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex and highly sensitive systems, policies, processes, or instrumentation related to nuclear systems. Determine the procedure for solving complex design, integration, and analytical problems. Perform or direct scientific and technical analyses of requirements, gaps, and new technologies. Prepare briefings and report on analysis methodologies and results.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with operational Air Force nuclear systems

-Knowledge of operational needs, requirements process, and evaluation methodologies

-Ability to evaluate new technologies and potential solutions

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with existing and future Air Force nuclear systems

-Experience with research and development, AFRL, DARPA, or similar organizations

-Knowledge of the DoD 5000.02 acquisition process

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent analytical and time management skills

-Top Secret clearance preferred

-BS degree in a technical field preferred; MA or MS degree a plus
