Test and Evaluation Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Design, develop, and implement testing methods and procedures. Plan and arrange the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provide test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Provide technical support and advice to other testing and engineering groups. Compile data and define changes required in testing equipment, test planning, test procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Use and apply technical test principles, theories, and concepts. Lead or direct projects or act in liaison capacity with other departments, divisions, and organizations, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with defining or leading Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) activities
  • Experience with writing technical plans and reports
  • Knowledge of experimental techniques and test optimizations for small and limited sample sizes
  • Ability to be responsive to client needs and demonstrate timely delivery and development of work products and tasks
  • Ability to work with a professional and military-oriented environment
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • BA or BS degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field required

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with high power electromagnetics, high power radio frequencies, high power lasers, or radar systems preferred
  • Experience with operational test and evaluation a plus
  • Knowledge of field and live-fire test requirements and operations preferred
  • Knowledge of laboratory test operations a plus
  • Ability to draft and coordinate test and safety plans preferred
  • Ability to lead and coordinate field test operations preferred
  • Defense Acquisition University T&E Certification a plus
