Classified Data Policy Specialist

Key Role:

Work with policy experts within the Department and intelligence community to identify current policy and propose potential policy adjustments to address data aggregation concerns. Work with the product lead, the data engineer, and the data controls specialist to implement data rules to comply with Departmental policy. Aid in monitoring proper implementation of data controls to ensure proper classification markings are applied. Analyze and implement classified data policy aggregation and rule development to support database operations and data visualization applications. Ensure the overall integrity of the data in the application and appropriate classification of the information. Apply advanced consulting skills to influence and build consensus among a diverse group of agencies. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience handling classified information at the TS/SCI level or higher

  • 4+ years of experience in consulting with or working for the military or Intelligence Community

  • Experience working with multiple executive branch agencies to build consensus around a problem

  • Experience working with and classifying information, including the impact of information aggregation

  • Knowledge of Security Classification Guides

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to quickly learn technical concepts and communicate with multiple functional groups

  • Ability to work without considerable oversight and within the intent provided by the product lead

  • Ability to display a positive, can-do attitude to solve the challenges of tomorrow

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
