Database Administrator, Mid

The Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity to use your technical skills in support of Army information operations? As a Database Administrator, you’ll have the chance to build your skills and solve technical problems in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for someone like you to help develop, implement, and maintain customer focused database solutions in support of our warfighters.

As a database administrator on our team, you’ll establish and manage data access and support practices for a specific database technology. Apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise, including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, mentor and may supervise team members; Work with the client to install, maintain and administer PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL, SQL Server, or other RDBMS variants. Support Windows and Linux systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration. You’ll use your passion to learn new skills and techniques, while helping to identify and implement database solutions and improvements.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • DOD Approved 8570 - Information Assurance Technician Level III (IAT-III) Certifications including CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP

  • Database Computer Environment (CE) Certification including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL, SQL Server, or other RDBMS variants

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience operating and maintaining Microsoft Windows and Linux servers

  • Knowledge of different layers of the technology stack, including network, application frameworks, database systems, and vendor solutions 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in CS, Engineering, or Information Systems

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
