Mainframe Vulnerability Analysis Master

Key Role: 

Oversee junior team members. Lead the validation, assessment, and accreditation processes necessary to ensure IT systems meet the organization’s information assurance (IA) and security requirements. Assist with defining organizations’ desired state and risk thresholds and analyze actual state information to assess compliance. Present results and recommendations to clients, including senior leaders. Serve as a Mainframe IBM Z series Operating System (z/OS) and UNISYS technical specialist to support Cybersecurity and IT services. Review, identify, and report problems with the installation and operations of mainframe assets, including identifying security vulnerabilities and recommending security countermeasures to mitigate identified mainframe risks. Determine the impact and risk of submitted change requests prior to implementation and provide Cyber oversight for mainframe changes that affect the level of risk.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with Mainframe IBM z/OS ACF2 or TSS

-5+ years of experience with the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) or Risk Management Framework (RMF)

-5+ years of with hardening z/OS

-5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products

-Ability to assess, audit, review, analyze, validate, and report mainframe SRG and STIG vulnerabilities and ensure security controls are implemented within mainframes in accordance with Cybersecurity policies and procedures

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree or 4 years of experience with technical operating system work

-DoD 8570 IAM I Certification, including CAP, GSLC, or Security+CE

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), RMF, and DIACAP

-Ability to analyze results and present complex technical concepts to senior clients

-Ability to coordinate and manage the work of junior team members

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
