Enterprise Architect

Key Role:

Designs architectural roadmaps for enterprise architecture (EA), in accordance with enterprise strategies and (EA) processes, while analyzing client requirements and collaborating with R&D divisions to provide ongoing support. Analyze and maintains Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) models and views in adherence with DoD guidance and develop process models in BPMN (Business Process Model Notation). Coordinates and facilitates meetings with subject matter experts and overcome communication challenges and barriers with clients to successfully complete architecture tasks. Applies sound Agile methodologies and practices to analyze, define, and document the core as-is and target architecture supporting the systems engineering lifecycle, business process reengineering, capabilities analysis, and IT governance processes. Prepares deliverables and presentations to communicate architecture practices, project schedules, resource requirements, and program status to clients. Provides sound solutions for digital transformation architecture roadmap development which bridges the gap between tactical and strategic architectures and capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience with enterprise architecture (EA) or 5+ years of experience as a functional or technical systems architect
  • Experience with IT architecture analysis, evaluation, documentation, IT architecture modeling, design, development, model validation, and integration in a DoD environment
  • Experience with translating customer requirements into conceptual or solutions models and validating those models in a DoD environment
  • Experience with reviewing enterprise and data architecture artifacts, deliverables, and processes to ensure adherence to architectural governance and quality standards
  • Experience with Unicom’s System Architect
  • Experience in Business Process Modeling Notion (BPMN) process modeling
  • Secret Clearance
  • BA or BS degree in engineering, computer science, or information technology 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with developing presentations and briefings to address inquiries and topics of interest to client
  • Experience with both technical and business architecture
  • Experience with developing architectures at varying levels including enterprise, segment, and solution architectures
  • Experience with applying EA methodologies and frameworks, including adapting the DoDAF to meet the client’s strategic business direction
  • Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF), Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA)
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Ability to be flexible to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Certification in BPMN or Enterprise Architecture.
