Cloud Software Engineer, Mid

Key Role: 

Support day-to-day operations focused on building a next generation automated malware analysis system. Apply advanced consulting and technical expertise and full industry knowledge to developing innovative solutions to complex problems. Engage with multiple functional groups to comprehend client challenges, prototype new ideas and new technologies, and help create solutions to drive the next wave of innovation. Interact with system administrators on the installation of software applications, develop training materials and mentor junior team members, guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, conduct feasibility studies as required, and estimate resource requirements for software tasks. 


Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience with software engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis or resolution
  • 4+ years of experience in developing software with Java and other high-level languages, including Python
  • 3+ years of experience with developing software to be deployed to UNIX/Linux operating systems using tools that include Ansible, Puppet, or Bash  
  • 2+ years of experience with software integration and software testing, including developing and implementing test plans and test scripts
  • Experience with scripted languages, including Python 
  • Experience with developing Restful services and the requirements analysis and design of one or more object-oriented systems
  • Experience with developing solutions integrating and extending FOSS/COTS products and technical writing, including generating technical documents in support of a software development project
  • Experience with deploying applications in a cloud environment and Big-Data Cloud scalability  
  • Ability to work with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs, including HbaseCloudBase/Acumulo, Big Table, or MongoDB
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Map Reduce programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, or Pig  
  • Experience with designing and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms
  • Experience with developing and deploying data driven analytics, event driven analytics, or sets of analytics orchestrated through rules engines
  • Experience with documenting ontologies, data models, schemas, formats, data element dictionaries, software application program interfaces, and other technical specifications
  • Experience with developing and deploying analytics in a heterogeneous schema environment
  • Experience in working with analytic frameworks such as Jupyter, pandas, or numpy
  • Experience with developing, testing and deploying AI/ML models using tools such as Tensorflow, scikit-learn, or keras
  • BA or BS degree 
  • Certified Hadoop/Cloud Developer
