Embedded Developer

The Opportunity: 

The need for Embedded Development to support dynamic mission environments is crucial. You know the specific skillset is imperative to provide success in these client spaces, demonstrate the expertise to create capabilities and therefore outcomes that not only meet mission needs, but provide individual success. We're looking for someone like you to help our clients meet their mission by changing the face of capability development.

In this role, you’ll use your embedded development skillset to build and maintain capabilities and solutions for our clients. You’ll work closely with clients to transform into emerging technologies. You will work with us to continue providing expectational support to our client environment and engage in successful mission outcomes.  

You'll participate in code reviews and work as part of a larger team to develop embedded software products. You will create and maintain documentation on developed software and techniques. You'll develop and maintain support software for interfacing with developed embedded software and conduct developer testing and integration testing for all developed software.

You Have:

  • Experience designing, developing, debugging, and modifying embedded software

  • Experience with low-level programming in Windows, Linux, or RTOS, including VxWorks or uC/OS

  • Experience with C/C++ and Python programming

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience as an embedded developer, or 10+ years of experience as an embedded developer in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience automating the testing of embedded software running on embedded devices

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
