Information Technology Engineer

The Opportunity:

As an IT Engineer, you will work with a team of IT professionals implementing custom environments and resolving technical issues in support of a next generation collaboration capability. This capability is a high visibility requirement with the Customer, integrating the latest IT commercial off the shelf (COTS) hardware and software.

You will be at the forefront, developing and enforcing security protocols for secure, multi-party capabilities for users across various domain classifications. Working with various users to collect requirements for data centers and deployments, and building, configuring, and testing each system and hardware suite prior to shipment and implementation. You will be involved in creating and updating documentation to include post installation documentation packages, installation guides, configuration guides, technical reports and presentation materials.  As capabilities are implemented in our Production environment, you will contribute to the extended phases of monitoring, sustainment, and contribute to process improvement.

You Have:  

  • Experience working in programs and contracts supporting a government client

  • Experience with Windows Client and Server Operating systems, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, and System Center Suite

  • Experience in backup and restoring of applications and associated data, operating system rebuilds, and upgrades

  • Ability to configure, monitor and troubleshoot using application and operating system event logs

  • Ability to manage installation, maintenance and support of technical infrastructures, hardware, and system software components

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Science or Technology and 6 years of experience as an IT Engineer, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Technology and 8 years of experience as an IT Engineer, or 12 years of experience as an IT Engineer in lieu of a degree

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Security+ certification

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience with virtualization platforms, such as VMWare and NUTANIX

  • Experience with Unix/Linux Operating Systems

  • Experience with Tenable NESSUS, Splunk, Active Roles Server, Whats Up Gold, or Service Now

  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
