Administrative Assistant

Key Role:

Coordinate administrative and support functions for a senior-level, military headquarters organization as a critical enabler not just for the day-to-day activities of an organization, but to mitigate issues and reduce or eliminate miscommunication, misrouted documents, and poor coordination.  Ensure the right attention is given to meetings, visitors, and staff work, and provides proven solutions to leadership and their staff.  Deliver the full range of front office support, which may include meeting set-up and execution, IT inventory management, correspondence, document management, security, and action item management. Follow established correspondence procedures, standardized document routing and approval processes. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with performing administrative tasks for the front office of a military or federal organization

  • Experience managing calendars for senior government officials, including scheduling, follow up, and prioritizing meetings for leadership

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint

  • Secret clearance

  • Associate's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience providing administrative services in a professional office environment

  • 3 years of experience working in a military headquarters organization

  • Knowledge of DoD, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Marine Corps organization, correspondence, and procedural requirements

  • Knowledge of the Defense Travel System (DTS), including submitting necessary travel authorizations, vouchers, and orders

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $45,400.00 to $93,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
