Communications/Wireless Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Design, develop, modify, and evaluate complicated devices, systems, or systems engineering trades. Maintain technical responsibility for analyzing and conducting technical processes or project phases and coordinate the efforts of technical support personnel, as required. Analyze and recommend design approaches for new or improved products or processes. Consolidate the results of hardware design elements for assigned projects and conduct independent technical investigations into the origination or modification of material, component, or process specifications and requirements. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with common engineering tools and processes, including Linux, scripting, such as Python, embedded software development, such as blinking an LED on a development board, and integrating systems together, such as interpreting ICDs
  • Knowledge of wireless communication systems, embedded signal processing, and security technologies
  • Ability to integrate development boards, provide technical oversight and leadership, work independently, synthesize and present conclusions of engineering work to client, and apply foundational engineering expertise to a broad array of applications and technologies
  • Ability to apply complex technical concepts to client missions and use cases
  • Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of commercial wireless technologies, Android security architectures, encryption, navigation algorithms, precision timing technologies, link budgets, and RF propagation
  • Ability to show intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, as required
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • MS degree in Engineering, including Electrical Engineering preferred
