Contractor Special Security Officer

Key Role:

Manage the industrial security program and security activities at a client-accredited facility, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) government and company security policies, requirements, and procedures and maintaining the overall accreditation posture. Review and investigate non-compliance issues. Provide security advice, guidance, and recommendations to all levels of client-facing staff. Manage program and administrative activities regarding security clearances for the organization's employees and advise management and personnel on issues. Facilitate support for sensitive compartmented information (SCI) indoctrination briefings for program personnel in accordance with client policies and DoD regulations. Assist with ad hoc proposal security volume reviews. Coordinate security support for compartmented or special access programs, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with applying tailored, responsive multi-disciplined security support, including personnel, physical, technical, operational, and information security aimed at the protection of classified information, corporate and client personnel, facilities, programs, and capabilities
  • Experience with SCI management and administration, and the Defense Information System for Security
  • Knowledge of personnel and physical security policies and regulations, including Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, ICD 704 and DoD Manual 5105-21 Volumes 1-4
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Contractor Special Security Officer or Facility Security Officer
  • Knowledge of contract and acquisition security practices
  • Ability to provide constructive, tactful, and discrete security advice and guidance to personnel across all levels, including senior managers, peers, subordinates, and customers
  • Bachelor’s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,100.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
