In this role, you will serve as the Privacy subject matter expert (SME) for command community space in a DoD data analytics platform (Advana). You will evaluate current processes and program policies to ensure compliance with DoD guidelines regulations, best practices, and industry standards for information systems. Review and support the development of privacy compliance documentation, including Privacy Threshold Analysis (PTAs), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and System of Records Notices (SORNs).
You will apply your knowledge of the Privacy Act of 1974 and Sensitive data types, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Protected Health information (PHI), including non-identifiable and identifiable, Business Sensitive, such as Proprietary, Acquisition Sensitive, and Atomic Energy Act, and Classified data to guide clients through the platform’s privacy and sensitivity review process.
How You’ll Contribute:
As a data analyst on our team, you’ll:
- Use your data analytics expertise to support client and stakeholder relationships.
- Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through interpretation, evaluation, and analysis of large data sets.
- Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.
- Apply consulting and communication skills with data analytics expertise by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience.
- Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of data analytics with a focus on data privacy considerations.
- Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.

You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in a professional work environment
- 2+ years of experience with privacy documentation, including PTAs
- Experience working with and analyzing data sets
- Experience with Memorandums of Agreement (MOA) and Interconnection Security Agreements (ISA)
- Knowledge of the Privacy Act of 1974
- Knowledge of different data types, including PII, PHI non-identifiable and identifiable, Business Sensitive such as proprietary, acquisition sensitive, and Atomic Energy Act, and classified data
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with NIST SP 800-53R4 or R5, Security and Privacy Controls for Information Systems and Organizations
- Experience with data aggregation and joining concerns
- Knowledge of DoD policies and procedures, including OMB-M-17-12 "Preparing for and Responding to a Breach in PII", Guidance Regarding Methods of Deidentification of PHI in accordance with HIPPA, and President Executive Order 13526
- Knowledge of data breach policies and incident response
- Ability to develop products within timeframes and communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to rapidly learn new data technologies such as data catalog tools (Collibra)
- Master's degree or JD preferred
- CompTIA Security+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
