As a data architect, you’ll use your extensive technical expertise to lead the design of data architecture solutions. You’ll resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by analyzing data architecture-related business needs and working with project staff to make decisions and recommendations on future data architecture developments. In this role, you’ll share your technical expertise and introduce best practices to design and build databases. You’ll lead your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests solution components, and you’ll serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met and solutions are delivered. You know the importance of Agile best practices and how to combat challenges early to achieve meaningful project goals. You Have: 

  • 10+ years of experience with data analytics 

  • Experience with developing strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database 

  • Experience with data management, transformation, and migration using Cloud data management pipelines, technologies, and open-source tools 

  • Experience with data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems 

  • Knowledge of an analytical or statistical language, including Closure, Scala, Python, or R 

  • Ability to review and develop object and data models to structure data for better management and quicker access 

  • Master’s degree

  • SAFe 5.1 SAFe Architect (ARCH) Certification 

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with large-scale, distributed systems design and development 

  • Experience with multiple data modeling concepts, including XML or JSON 

  • Knowledge of scaling, performance, and scheduling 

  • Knowledge of system architecture, including process, memory, storage, and networking management 

  • Ability to pick up new technologies quickly, including new Web frameworks, open-source technologies, and mobile concepts 

  • Ability to interact with a diverse group of clients and staff professionally and deliver presentations to executives, clients, and professional peers 

  • Ability to demonstrate technical solutions, standards, and best practices with multiple functional groups

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
