Job Description
Key Role:
Provide support to a Service Headquarters organization in the research, analysis, and assessment of service strategy, plans, and their implementation. Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex policies, processes, and systems for the integrated implementation of joint and service strategies. Coordinate and collaborate with service planners on national level documents and associated plans. Advise and prepare senior leadership for decisions and key leader engagements for strategic documents and associated plans. Attend planning activities, working groups, and forums as required. Keep various Service, DoD, and JS stakeholders aligned on Service strategies, plans, and their implementation.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working with the DoD
- 2+ years of experience in a Joint or Service Headquarters organization
- Experience coordinating across military branches on national policy and strategy
- Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience working within a Combatant Command or Service Headquarters, and briefing U.S. military General Officers or senior executive-level officials
- Experience with strategic documents, including NSS, NDS, NMS, and AJA
- Experience in Global Force Management (GFM) and the associated strategic documents, including GFMIG, GEF, JSCP, and CPG
- Experience supporting military planning, including deliberate, contingency, and crisis, and operational planning teams
- Experience with the plans portfolios for the Geographic Combatant Commands (GCCs) and Functional Combatant Commands (FCCs)
- Knowledge of military organizational or command structure, missions, roles, and functions
- Ability to advise, negotiate, and persuade various military officials and senior leaders to endorse recommendations, and adhere to guidance, policies, and regulations
- Possession of strong research, analysis, and verbal and written communication skills
- Master’s degree
- Graduate of a Military Planners School, including SAW, SAMS, MOPC, or JAWS
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
