Emerging Technologies Communications Wireless Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Develop and apply advanced technology design methods, theories, and research techniques to investigate and solve complex and advanced technical problems. Plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or major phases of significant projects, including coordinating the efforts of communications engineers, systems engineers, hardware engineers, and software engineers to perform assigned projects. Conduct investigations and tests of considerable complexity. Review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects. Recommend corrections in technical applications and analysis. Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. Provide technical consultation to other organizations and work leadership to junior employees, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with wireless communications and custom electronics
  • Knowledge of FPGAs and receiver front-end architectures
  • Ability to perform initial modeling and simulation activities, lead an engineering team, participate in business development activities, write whitepapers, and develop IR&D proposals
  • Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with MBSE and working in a field, lab, and office environments
  • Knowledge of power systems, packaging, and space mission design
  • Ability to acquire new skills at intermediate levels of proficiency
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • MA or MS degree in Engineering
