Fighter Aircraft Test Engineer

Key Role:

Provide test engineering, technical, and analytical support to Fighter Aircraft Joint Program Office Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Functional Teams. Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret fighter aircraft developmental and operational flight tests for new or modified products or product components. Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel. Provide technical support and advice to other IPTs. Act as a liaison with outside suppliers in establishing or modifying specifications for purchased items. Devise and apply testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors. Participate in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs. Lead or direct projects when necessary. Act in liaison capacity with other departments, divisions, and organizations when necessary. Evaluate progress and results and recommend major changes in procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in an engineering or technical role
  • 3+ years of experience with developmental or operational flight test programming
  • Experience in technical project management
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of contracts development  
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet programs and relational databases such as Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
