The Opportunity:

Whether it’s process improvement, performance measurement, or business management analysis, organizational change management comes down to one thing: learning how an organization works and making it better. Although many companies know where they want to go, getting there can be a challenge. Thankfully, that’s what you do: improve the systems that move entire organizations forward. It’s why we’re looking for someone like you—an organizational transformation and change consultant who can help identify long-term goals and support the creation of the processes needed to achieve them.

This is an opportunity to create efficiency in a critical Department of Defense Program. As a change management consultant, you’ll use your knowledge and skills in applying knowledge management (KM) concepts, methods and tools to address the information management, information sharing cadence, and research needs of the organization. You will work closely with senior government officials to design, develop, and implement a KM strategy and to manage the overall process for the organization to plan, coordinate, manage, share, and control information. You will identify and analyze data, information, and knowledge requirements to facilitate the discovery and dissemination of decision quality information. To achieve these objectives, you will leverage the interaction of people, processes, and enterprise technologies to capture, store, organize, share, and control implicit and explicit knowledge. You will leverage continuous process improvement techniques to improve mission processes and enhance access to relevant cross-functional information in a collaborative, timely, and contextual manner. In short, you will promote organizational information as a reusable, shared, protected, consistent, and compliant resource.

You are well-versed in Information Technology platforms, software, and tools to enable or enhance knowledge management capabilities, including management and enforcement of the use of metadata, enabling data to be accessed, tagged, and researched regardless of physical location, media, source, owner, or other defining characteristics. A key outcome of this effort will be assisting and educating users on authoritative data sources, data services, and presentation tools to meet mission objectives. From unrealized potential to systemic challenges, you will provide your client with a holistic view of their organization to transform their practices.
