Logistics Subject Matter Expert

Key Role: 

Participate as a logistics subject matter expert in the planning, design, scoping, assessment, and implementation of in-country institutional capacity building projects with senior partner nation officials in ministries of defense, general staffs or joint staffs, or service staffs as a member of a Government-led team pursuing mutually agreed-upon security cooperation objectives that support of U.S. national security defense, and regional goals. Provide logistics functional analysis, assessment, facilitation, coaching, advice, best practices, lessons learned, and recommendations to client and partner nation senior officials. Prepare presentations, after-action reviews, and other written products to support implementing partner nation discussions and workshops.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 + years of experience in planning, coordinating, and implementing ground, maritime or aviation logistics focused on supply chain, maintenance, and distribution management
  • Experience in inventory management, obsolescence management, life-cycle management, intermediate or depot level maintenance operations, and distribution operations   
  • 10 + years of experience with military related logistics at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels
  • Experience working with allied or partner nations related to security cooperation efforts
  • Experience relating to logistics at the operational or strategic levels with U.S. or Allied Headquarters such as the Joint Staff, a Combatant Command or a supporting service component, a Service Staff, NATO, or Defense Agency
  • Knowledge of security cooperation authorities, processes, procedures, and resources
  • Secret clearance
  • Master's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working in-country with partner nations in institutional capacity building
  • Experience as a defense or service attaché, foreign area officer, or security cooperation
  • Experience in coordinating activities with the Department of State or US embassies
  • Top Secret Clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
