Job Description
Key Role:
Support program managers at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in the development of new program concepts in medical prophylactic development and biomanufacturing, management of a diverse active project portfolio, and transition of cutting-edge research to end-users. Work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment as a scientific and technical advisor with expertise in traumatic brain injury, medical countermeasures, pre-clinical animal models, and familiarity with multi-omics, microbiology, and engineering cell biology. Leverage a breadth of expertise to assess technologies across a broad range of applications to work with world-class scientists to drive research efforts forward for the development of advanced biological technologies to support the client's operations and to improve the readiness of our warfighters. Provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support of the organization's goals, create technical reports, present findings, track technological progress, analyze technology program plans, and perform other tasks required by the client. Assist with the preparation of briefing materials for government R&D efforts and deliver high-quality work products to support projects.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with traumatic brain injury, neuroscience, behavioral animal models, multi-omics, or biomanufacturing, in a research or professional environment
Experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for both technical and non-technical audience
Experience navigating regulatory agencies
Ability to explain and present complex scientific concepts to a broad audience
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Cell Biology, or a Biological Science field
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with DoD research and development projects
Experience with technical project or program management
Experience in a client-facing work environment
Possession of excellent scientific writing skills
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Secret clearance
Master’s degree in Neuroscience, Physiology, or a related applied Science field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
