Project Scheduler, Senior

The Opportunity:

As a Project Scheduler, you know the complexities of supporting a project from concept to completion. Many programs require a significant investment of limited resources, and it’s imperative to keep the project on a productive path. That’s why we need you, an experienced Project Scheduler who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication.

On our team, you’ll implement and maintain organizational programs in support of a client program. You’ll work with key stakeholders to review contracts and project cost accounting. You’ll help with tactical planning using resources like MS Project, and regular interactions with SMEs, schedulers, and internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you'll manage projects that are moderately complex or are a portion of a larger program and provide primary scheduling support to a Department of Defense client to establish, monitor, and report a program's execution towards milestones, key events, and task accomplishment criteria. You'll create, develop, and manage detailed, resource–loaded schedules using Microsoft Project to communicate effectively to clients and the team, and collaborate with project team to identify project activities, task progress, work accomplished, and resources needed and used with the client and internal program management. On our team, you'll provide in–depth analyses for resource loading, critical paths, dependencies, and variances. You'll identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and issues, contribute to and articulate process improvement efforts to align with client objectives, and serve as a liaison with program and project sponsor, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project schedules align with project goals and objectives. You'll coordinate with the job manager on the delivery of contract deliverables related to project schedules, and provide resource allocation, risk management, communication, quality assurance, training, and support.

The real impact of project management comes from communication to ensure the program achieves its goals and meets our quality standards. At Booz Allen, we recognize that we must continuously grow as a team to bring the best support to our clients, so here you’ll have all the resources to succeed. This is a chance to influence a meaningful mission while learning how to develop and maintain program strategy. This position is located in Arlington, VA.
