Security Cooperation Specialist, Lead

As a senior Reserve Component Management Specialist, you bring experience in defense-focused functional areas, including manpower and reserve affairs and a detailed understanding of different reserve categories, including ready reserve, standby reserve, and retired reserve along with an understanding of full-time reserve support. You understand air and ground defense forces capacity and capability development, strategic planning for and execution of operational concepts and missions, DOTMLPFP/I analysis experience, force structure development and transformation, and a broad-spectrum knowledge of Reserve Component Human Capital Management processes.

You will serve as a reserve component management subject matter expert as part of a Government-led team conducting periodic, in-country, institutional capacity-building engagements with senior partner nation officials in ministries of defense, general staffs, joint staffs, or service staffs in the pursuit of mutually agreed upon security cooperation objectives. You’ll assist in designing country projects, conducting research and analysis, producing deliverables, and facilitating workshops and discussions. You will apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, or full industry knowledge. You’ll develop innovative solutions to complex problems. You will work without considerable direction and mentor or supervise team members.

You Have:

·       10+ years of experience with designing or applying reserve component management approaches, techniques, methodologies, tools, or strategies in programs to support organizational development, transformation, or increased force generation effectiveness

·       Experience in interacting with partner nation personnel, including counterpart senior officials in the DoD Security Cooperation space

·       Experience with working at the Joint Staff, Combatant Command, or Service Component staff level

·       Knowledge of military and defense reserve component management processes

·       Knowledge of security cooperation authorities, processes, and resources

·       Secret clearance

·       Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, International Relations, Humanities, or a defense- or security cooperation-related field

Nice If You Have:

·       Experience with overcoming bureaucratic and cultural challenges in designing and implementing programs

·       Knowledge of defense security cooperation activities

·       Ability to develop training and educational programs for U.S. and partner nation civilian and military personnel

·       Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
