Job Description
Key Role:
Lead an energy communications team in support of government clients, driving energy-efficient behaviors, and promoting renewable energy efforts. Track and coordinate energy and industry conference attendance including logistic management, briefing presentation development, and after-action activities. Plan, coordinate, and execute industry days, project milestone events, and exhibits. Write a variety of materials, including strategic communication and behavior change plans, and PowerPoint. Work independently and lead staff in day-to-day tasks, such as media outreach, event management, change initiative planning and execution, web and social media updates, and collateral development. Apply the latest communications tools and trends to continuously improve strategic communication efforts.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience with communications, including in a consulting or agency environment
- Experience with social marketing, behavior change, and change management
- Experience with the development and execution of strategic communication plans
- Experience with planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events, including industry days, project milestone events, exhibits, or speaking engagements
- Experience with a range of writing styles, including social marketing plans, speech writing, fact sheets, social media, formal correspondence, and campaigns
- Experience with using digital outreach and social media channels to engage stakeholders
- Experience in working with creative staff to develop compelling campaigns
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with government consulting or contracting
- Experience with energy issues and the energy industry, including energy efficiency and renewable energy
- Experience developing visuals, including graphics or videos
- Experience in the military or supporting the military
- Ability to work independently and in teams to interact with senior-level clients
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing
- Change management Certification (CMAP)

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
