Voice Communications Manager

Key Role:

Lead voice communications team to plan, design, and implement a multi-vendor, multi-classification voice communications network. Analyze the client’s enterprise communication networks and providing recommendations for upgrading the client's voice capabilities and services. Support essential voice infrastructure elements such as Call Managers, Voicemail, Call Plans, Speed Dials, Conference Bridges, and Automated Call Distribution Systems. Plan network layouts and configure systems to the client’s environment and examine network topology, traffic, and capacity requirements. Coordinate with subscribed voice providers to ensure holistic voice coverage and minimum outages to the clients. Work with help desk to troubleshoot and resolve tier I, II, and III voice interoperability issues in appropriate time.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with installing, operating and maintaining unclassified and classified telecommunication hardware and accessories 
  • 5+ years of experience with Crisis Management System (CMS), Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN), or other DoD voice networks
  • Experience with training end users on telecom capabilities 
  • Experience with the installing, operating and maintaining voice communication infrastructure, service and capabilities in stationary or mobile settings 
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving Tier I, II, and III voice services incidents 
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with voice system vendors Avaya or Cisco
  • Experience with network monitoring tools
  • Experience with installing and troubleshooting network cabling
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • BA or BS degree in IT or engineering related field preferred
  • Network+ CE or other industry standard certifications
  • CCNA, CCENT, or CCNP certification
