The Opportunity:
As an Alation Infrastructure Engineer, you know how to set up cloud environments and provision computer networking, storage, and virtual networks—ultimately, how to “harness the cloud.” We’re looking for a DevOps infrastructure engineer like you to support our clients as they modernize their IT infrastructures and meet their most challenging missions.
As an Alation Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Azure cloud, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports the Alation data catalog platform within the Azure cloud environment. Your role will involve managing, administering, supporting, and enhancing cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. You will apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Working without considerable direction, you will mentor and potentially supervise team members.

You Have:
6+ years of experience configuring the Azure cloud management
Experience maintaining access control and the integrity of data throughout the platform
Experience in designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure for data management platforms, including in Alation, and setting up infrastructure within the Azure cloud environment
Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure components and architectures, including virtual machines, storage solutions, networking, and security services
Experience in scripting and automation tools for infrastructure management and configuration within the Azure environment
Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting system performance within the Azure cloud and implementing optimization strategies for Alation infrastructure in the Azure environment
Knowledge of Azure cloud security protocols and best practices, with a focus on maintaining data integrity and confidentiality within the Alation infrastructure in the Azure cloud environment
Ability to configure and optimize Alation infrastructure within Azure
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience with containers, including EKS or Kubernetes
Experience with DevOps to better maintain pipeline enhancements
Experience in cross domain solutioning

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
