Data Life Cycle Management Specialist

Key Role:

Develop, implement, and assess specific new and emerging data technologies, platforms, and services. Apply advanced consulting or extensive technical expertise and use industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor or supervise team members. Establish the process for data life cycle management at the enterprise level to track and make data accessible. Work with clients to establish and maintain data lifecycle activities. Use expertise to automate the cataloging of metadata into the enterprise data catalog and provide support to increase adoption by the development and establishment of processes and materials to ensure consistent and standardized use of data cataloging. Learn from a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience with defining and recommending data management and cataloging processes, platform or tool selections, and application integration options to clients

  • 4+ years of experience with developing and implementing enterprise data governance processes for clients

  • 2+ years of experience with implementing data life cycle management and data governance in a Cloud environment, including Azure or AWS

  • 1+ years of experience with data life cycle management tools

  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum processes

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Alation and Collibra

  • Experience in a healthcare or public health domain

  • Knowledge of Data Architecture and Data Integration

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,000.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
