Program Management Specialist, Senior

Key Role:

Lead and support aviation projects covering analysis, planning, design, development, deployment, and operations. Advise FAA client project managers and resident engineers on construction contractor schedule submittals. Advise client program implementation management on project schedule. Track progress on project milestones and deliverables. Provide periodic reports of project cost performance, comparing actual costs to budgeted costs and calculating variances. Provide support for schedule updates, report generation, and schedule conversion between different systems and organizations involved in FAA engineering projects. This position will require travel 10 - 25% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with working as an air traffic controller
  • Knowledge of aviation operations and systems for scheduling and project management purposes
  • Knowledge of aviation safety practices and procedures
  • Ability to develop and maintain FAA planning and requirements integrated master schedules for a portfolio of projects associated with replacement and renovation of airport traffic control towers and other facilities throughout the eastern U.S.
  • Ability to use FAA’s Corporate Work Plan, Primavera P6, and Oracle Delphi systems
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • BA or BS degree
