Security System Engineer, Mid

As a security systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to protect national health systems infrastructure, data, and systems from evolving risks, threats, and vulnerabilities. Your customer will trust you to not only secure and maintain these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. You Have:  

  • 5+ years of experience in IT and cybersecurity 
  • Experience integrating, operating, and maintaining Windows and Linux platforms and systems 
  • Experience with virtualization and Cloud 
  • Experience with Tenable and Web Inspect
  • Ability to rapidly assess, prioritize, and report vulnerabilities by risk severity  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • HS diploma or GED  


Nice If You Have:  

  • Knowledge of customer IT systems, requirements, and processes for information assurance and assessment and authorization activities 
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Advanced Cybersecurity Certification, including Security +, GSEC, or CISSP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
