Field Service Engineer

Key Role:

Maintain Voice and Display systems and components to support Tactical Command and Control Operations. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge of local and remote Beyond Line of Sight UHF/VHF communications. Develop or contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide the activities of junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with supporting weapon or combat systems or similar technologies in the commercial sector

  • Experience with operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing systems, subsystems, and component level technologies

  • Experience with performing all aspects of in-theater product field support, servicing, repair, training, or installation for DoD and industry products

  • Experience with installing and checking out units and participating as part of quick-reaction fly-away and exercise teams

  • Experience Cornet TVCS secure and non-secure communications conference switch

  • Experience with Solipsys Multi Sensor Correlator Tracker

  • Experience with Tactical Data Links integration and troubleshooting

  • Ability to travel to geographically disparate or remote locations, facilitate knowledge transfer between sponsors, stakeholders, partners, end-users, and other personnel, and recommend the most cost-effective repair or resolution to minimize downtime

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with supporting weapon or combat systems or similar technologies in the commercial sector

  • 5+ years of experience with operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing systems, subsystems, and component level technologies

  • Experience with IP switching and routing

  • Knowledge of US Air Force Control and Reporting Center operations

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
