DevOps Engineer, Senior

The Challenge:

Are you a DevOps advocate looking to help educate clients on the importance of modernization? You know that listening to and truly understanding a client’s needs is the first step to introducing DevOps methodology to an organization. We’re looking for someone like you to help us usher in a new DevOps culture for the defense client. As a DevOps Customer Success Engineer, you’ll further your DevOps experience and communication skills to support your team as they bring other organizations on board with DevOps and champion the adoption of related processes, tools, and roles.

In this role, you’ll not only help convey the importance of efficiency to your clients, you’ll be involved in DevOps work. Together with a team of experts, you’ll be directly involved in the building and maintenance of a pipeline. You’ll assist in the complete workflow of a DevSecOps platform as well as automate configuration management and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and associated end state management tools.

You may also play a role in the creation, automation, and deployment of services, support the maintenance of the creation and automation of orchestration of the containers, and help maintain cloud infrastructure. This is your chance to gain skills in emerging new technical tools in the DevOps ecosystem while educating others. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

-Experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration

-Experience with Cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), S3, Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), and Linux operating systems

-Experience with configuring and utilizing DevOps bundled tools, including Atlassian and GitLab

-Experience with advanced scripting languages

-Knowledge of CI/CD technologies and configurations

-Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle (SDLC)

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes

-Experience with Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) or end state management technologies

-Experience with developing AWS services

-Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment

-Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
 

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 110,000 to 135,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
