Engineering Technician
Key Role:
Work with assembly or fabrication of electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment. Operate mechanical machinery, calibration equipment, power tools, and electronic tooling. Apply knowledge of policies, procedures, and practical application of the general and specific technical aspects of the job to complete varied and complex work. Make recommendations for new procedures. Work independently within established procedures and practices, may lead tasks and informally mentor others.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with reading and following specific layout drawings and diagrams to construct simple devices and assemblies
Experience with Fiber Optic installation
Experience with Cable Assembly
Experience with hand and power tools
Experience with Soldering
Knowledge of system integration and rack design
Ability to work independently to accomplish objectives
Ability to obtain a security clearance
HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of Electrical Power Design
Knowledge of HVAC fundamentals
Ability to conduct site surveys for installation of new electronic systems
Ability to use Electronic Test Equipment
Possession of excellent communications skills
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience with System Integration or Associate's degree and 5+ years of experience with System Integration
CTS Certification
Soldering Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,100.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
