Force Development Analyst

Key Role:

Provide research, analysis, planning, and subject matter expertise in the development of products, processes, and forums to support the Marine Corps’ force development and organizational design. Support the development of future force concepts, capabilities, and capability solutions. Design and develop table top exercises and wargames to support force development and to identify capability requirements. Analyze and develop organizational design solutions to support future capabilities development. Facilitate venues for the command’s senior leaders to build an understanding of current and emerging operational and strategic environments. Provide research and analysis to support the strategic posture of the command, operational planning, and organizational strategy.

 Basic Qualification:

  • 2+ years of experience with serving in the DoD on a Military staff, performing executive functions and bi-lateral information flow between the Commander and subordinate units
  • Experience with designing and conducting war games
  • Knowledge of or experience in organizational analysis or design
  • Knowledge of Marine Corp Planning Process, Joint Planning Process, or equivalent military planning process
  • Knowledge of Joint and Marine Corps staff processes
  • Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Marine Corps component staff position
  • Knowledge of MARSOC organization, structure, and mission
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including communicating with senior and executive level audiences
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • MA or MS degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
