Strategic Analyst, Lead

Key Role: 

Provide research, publication, outreach, functional, analysis, assessments, and administrative support, as required, to assist in the development of products, processes, and forums in support of the client, to inform and educate SOCOM decision makers on the employment and integration of MARSOF and inform and educate service contributions to SOCOM. Develop the Future Force Capabilities Development Forum process and procedures, in synchronization with relevant SOCOM, service, and client processes. Facilitate the full implementation of the Future Force Capabilities Development per client guidance and in conjunction with SOCOM guidance. Facilitate a venue for the command’s senior leaders to build a command understanding across the Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) spectrum on the current and emerging operational and strategic environments. Provide research and analysis to support the client's strategic posture in an uncertain future. Provide research and analysis on national, SOCOM, and service strategy, guidance, concepts, plans, policies, and directives. Provide research, analysis, and assessments to support the anticipation and development of opportunities that may shape, drive, and implement meaningful, relevant change across both the service and SOF enterprises, in support of SOCOM guidance and priorities. Provide research and analysis that informs SOCOM Strategic Planning Process (SPP) and service combat capabilities development processes and assessments. Facilitate the integration of planning and programming. Provide research and analysis to support the establishment of programmatic priorities. Facilitate command decision-making that translates concepts into tangible capabilities and results. Provide consolidation reports that analyze readiness. Provide decision-makers with predictive analysis to enable proactive planning for enhanced force readiness.

Basic Qualifications:  

  • 3+ years of experience serving in a senior Marine Corps or Joint staff position.
  • Experience with developing component-level or higher strategy or doctrine
  • Experience with policy, guidance, and current issues necessary to develop recommendations for strategic planning
  • Knowledge of the Marine Corps Planning Process, Joint Planning Process, or military planning process
  • Knowledge of future force capability requirements development
  • Knowledge of Congressional law, executive orders, and defense directives, regulations, policies, programs, procedures, and issues concerning major strategic reviews and objectives
  • Ability to function as the contract site lead performing planning, organizing, supervising, and mentoring the contract team
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Graduate of U.S. Military Intermediate Level School equivalent, U.S. Military Top Level School, or Joint PME Level II

Additional Qualifications:  

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Joint Qualified Officer Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
