Theater Security Cooperation Planner

As a Theater Security Cooperation Planner, you’ll bring your planning, consulting, analytic, tactical, and technical skills to work on projects for our Department of Defense client. You’ll provide guidance to senior military leadership in matters relating to Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) and political-military policy, assist in the development of long-term engagement and exercise design plans aligned to Combatant Command (COCOM) country and regional security cooperation plans, assist in leading and facilitating cross-functional working groups related to TSC planning and execution, and integrate and coordinate TSC engagements with the Global Force Management Process to increase allied and partner interoperability with our client. You’ll help identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes.

You’ll impact the work we do supporting Indo-Pacific regional theater security cooperation and the solutions we deliver for enhanced military readiness. You served your country as a seasoned Senior Staff Non-Commissioned Officer or Commissioned Officer —now, continue your mission with us. You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with the Marine Corps Planning Process or Military Decision-Making Process

  • Experience on the staff of a General and Flag officer level Joint or Expeditionary command

  • Experience with security cooperation at the tactical or operational level

  • Experience as a Foreign Exchange Officer, Foreign Area Officer, or Regional Area Officer

  • Experience with working in political and military affairs and with foreign military partners

  • Experience with serving as an exercise planner and operational planning team lead

  • Knowledge of Department of Defense security cooperation policies

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with security cooperation planning process and the development of security cooperation engagement plans

  • Experience with Indo-Pacific Command Area of Responsibility and Central Command Area of Responsibility

  • Experience with Service level global force management

  • Experience with the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP)

  • Experience with the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC)

  • Experience in working with operational plan (OPLAN) assessment

  • Ability to develop products, briefs, and orders and analyze policy at an executive level

  • Graduate of Marine Corps Command and Staff College or another Service equivalent

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
