Cloud Operations Engineer, Lead

Key Role:

Manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with quality and process management

  • 5+ years of experience with managing operations of Cloud and SaaS environments

  • Experience with ticketing tools, including ServiceNow

  • Ability to develop Cloud technical operational procedures and manage team execution of procedures

  • Ability to analyze processes, gaps, and resolutions, and share lessons learned

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with Azure Cloud technologies, including Azure Active Directory

  • Experience with Intelligence Community Cloud environments

  • Experience with managing security processes in Cloud or SaaS environments, including security scans, documenting findings, and implementing remediation plans

  • Experience with Jira, supporting operations, and 24/7 Cloud or SaaS environments

  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff

  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree in CS

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification

  • Cloud Certification at the Intermediate or Associate level

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
