Cognos Developer

Key Role:

Create dashboards and reports. Modify database designs to develop analytics, reports, dashboards, and software to analyze information. Develop a data warehouse and outcomes improvement analytic tools, project management and workflow processes, and team norms to achieve implementation of the data warehouse.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience developing Cognos reports and dashboards for management and end users

  • Experience providing database optimization and performance tuning guidance and support with IBM Cognos products

  • Experience with Cognos application in a development and production environment

  • Experience with Cognos training to end users

  • Experience working with multi-dimensional and relational reporting structures

  • Experience creating and maintaining reports and creating SQL queries for data analysis, including Oracle SQL Developer

  • Experience in utilizing business intelligence tools, including Cognos or Tableau, to generate information technology and business numeric analysis

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of overall IC agency processes and policies

  • Ability to execute projects and tasks with minimal guidance and supervision

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent data gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • IBM Cognos Certification preferred

  • IBM Cognos Reports Development Certification

  • IBM Cognos System Administration Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
