Software and Systems Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Manage the engineering support for all the processes and activities of agile software development. Apply specific functional knowledge and working and general industry knowledge to impact the intelligence communities’ systems. Analyze or contribute to solutions to a variety of client's challenges of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and help to review or guide the activities of junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC), IT systems design, testing, IT Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software, or hardware integration
  • Experience with ensuring APIs are developed and delivered to standards
  • Experience with requirements gathering and analysis, Agile development methodologies, and the Project Management Framework
  • Experience with designing and implementing development, test, and production environments
  • Knowledge of technology trends for the potential application of emerging technology solutions to meet client requirements
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with providing technical guidance to IT development teams
  • Knowledge of agency or intelligence community (IC) and IT infrastructures
  • Possession of excellent team leadership, development, and client relationship skills
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills to successfully interact with clients, engineers, and managers
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Master's degree
  • Certified Scrum Master Certification a plus
  • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification
