The Opportunity:
A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable organizations to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, an experienced network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the Navy needs.
As a network engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience in network design and architecture, system interoperability, network transport layers, and virtual routing and forwarding to support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You’ll manage enterprise infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. You’ll apply your expertise in routing and switching, integration of encryption gear, network design and architecture, and system interoperability as you join our team of problem-solvers to help the US Navy evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies. You Have:
7 years of experience with IT and network hardware such as servers, routers, switches, and in-line network encryption devices
Experience with DoD networks both WAN and LAN, IPv4 and IPv6 address allocation, and Cisco Command Line Interface (CLI)
Experience with network testing hardware from vendors such as Spirent or Linktropy
Experience with General Dynamics KG series TACLANES
Experience with network testing, troubleshooting software tools such as iPerf, Nmap, or Wireshark
Knowledge of networking protocols and their implementation to include L2VPN, L3VPN, OSPF, BGP, DMVPN, and static routes
Knowledge of network security via firewalls including software and hardware, ACLs, and port security
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
IAT Level II including Security+ CE Certification
Nice If You Have:
Experience with BASH, Ansible, Python, and Cisco Embedded Event Manager Scripting
Experience with ADNS and IC networks
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
