Electrical Engineer, Junior

The Challenge:

What if you could use your engineering skills to empower our warfighters' ability to operate in a degraded electronic warfare environment? As an electrical engineer, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to modeling the antenna pattern footprint for foreign airborne and land-based radar systems. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to model the characteristics and performance of foreign antenna systems to support intelligence mission data. Your assessments will help our warfighters in the field.

Our team forms the backbone of a system's intelligence assessments for antenna pattern analysis supporting the intelligence mission data and warfighter communities. That's why we need you, an electrical engineer who can solve problems, is a motivated self-starter, and is proficient in the application of electromagnetic propagation principles in the characterization of antenna and radar systems. You’ll learn how to employ modeling and simulation techniques that will aid in your comprehension of the foreign radar or antenna system's capabilities, limitations, and vulnerabilities. You’ll impact the warfighting community directly by the level of detail of your models and assessments, which will prevent technological or operational surprise. This is a chance to grow your electromagnetics, radar, and antenna analysis skills while gaining experience in the modeling and simulation of radar or antenna systems. You Have:

  • Experience with professional communications system design
  • Experience with developing Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms for wireless communications
  • Experience with programming languages, including MATLAB, Python, C, or C++
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Scheduled to obtain a BA or BS degree by June 2021

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with physical layer modern radio hardware and Software Defined Radios (SDRs)
  • Experience with SDR tools and SDR drivers
  • Experience with performing reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis of wireless network communications
  • Experience with embedded systems
  • BS degree in EE or a related scientific or technical field preferred; MA or MS degree a plus
