You use the right combination of design, clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to build a user focused solution. As a software engineer, you know how to create and maintain crucial pieces of software. You use your knowledge to write and optimize code that creates a bridge between pieces of software, allowing them to communicate. We’re looking for an experienced software engineer like you to develop technology for our clients’ most important mission-forward challenges.
As a software engineer on our team, you’ll execute on solutions that will help your customer overcome their most difficult challenges. As part of our development team, you’ll support the development of systems, sites, and tools for our clients using modern C++ and best practices with consistent performance and scalability. You’ll directly impact Navy Marine Corps readiness by providing robust, modern systems to enable warfighters. You’ll expand your skills as you design and implement software that supports hardware functionality on a wide range of devices, as well as configure solutions based on the platform being used. You’ll work with other team leaders to troubleshoot and correct operational issues, as well as with cybersecurity specialists to ensure that the software you’re creating is secure. We focus on growing you and the team with new skills and tools through mentoring, training, and feedback in an Agile development environment. You Have:
6+ years of experience working across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
5+ years of experience in designing and programming with C++ or C for systems
5+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using Agile methods
Experience with Linux or Windows development
Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
2+ years of experience with C#
2+ years of experience with Qt libraries
2+ years of experience with OpenGL
1+ years of experience with Vulkan 3D Graphics API
1+ years of experience with MIL-STD-1553
1+ years of experience with Microsoft DotNet
1+ years of experience with RDBMS and SQL
Experience with MBSE, including UML or SySML
Bachelor's degree in EE, Computer Engineering, CS, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Information Systems
Security+ or CSSLP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
