Acquisition Program Manager

As a Federal Acquisition Management Professional at Booz Allen, you’ll work closely with our defense clients in support of the warfighter, aiding in the acquisition of all they need for optimal end strength and ensuring that their mission is our mission. This is an opportunity to impact our country’s defense acquisition and contract process. On our team, you’ll help ensure the future of the DoD Global Positioning System capabilities and shape Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) missions by supporting ground systems design, implementation and sustainment activities. You will ensure contractor compliance with acquisition milestone requirements. Additionally, you will create and maintain support agreements with external organizations, help develop long term sustainment plans to ensure robust support, and document responsibilities and processes for future sustainment. You’ll be able to broaden your skillset and grow your skills in satellite constellation and ground system management activities and the tools, systems, and processes that support them.

You’ll complete procurement request packages and be responsible for the safe storage and handling of sensitive documents. You’ll provide acquisition expertise regarding all statutory and regulatory updates impacting each project’s success. From creating and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders to obtaining concurrence, you’ll deliver meaningful acquisition support.

You Have: 

  • 5+ experience with DoD acquisition system, life cycle planning, and program management  

  • 5+ experience with DoD contract management process and compliance policies, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)  

  • Experience with the achievement of key DoD acquisition milestones and acquisition decision events  

  • Experience with acquisition support in program and project life cycle management  

  • Experience with drafting, coordinating, and maintaining agreements with external agencies and parties 

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook  

  • Ability to collaborate across multiple client organizations and teams

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with U.S. Military and Space Systems Command organizations and systems  

  • Experience with GPS mission areas, including Space Operations and sustainment  

  • Experience with SETA and Liaison coordination and managing operational and development technical and programmatic efforts between SE&I, government leadership, and vendor representatives  

  • Experience in operational deployment, sustainment, and management of space-based systems  

  • Experience with space based communication system engineering and troubleshooting  

  • Experience with developing client or customer relationships

  • Ability to interact well in cross-functional team meetings and professional environments

  • Ability to interface with internal and external customers

  • Possession of excellent leadership, interpersonal, and facilitation skills 

  • PMP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
