Job Description
Key Role:
Develop electronic systems and components to use within equipment or machinery. Support other engineers to perform tasks when necessary. Apply specific functional knowledge, including working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of more junior employees.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in designing, developing, implementing, testing, and analyzing High Power Microwave (HPM) systems
3+ years of experience with HPM source testing and evaluation, including the development, assembly, and operation of mission support systems and instrumentation, such as communications systems, data acquisition and processing, sensors, or distributed controls
3+ years of experience in laboratory and field-testing, including conducting tests, reducing test data, and analyzing results using specialized hardware and diagnostic equipment to measure electrical and magnetic fields, high voltages and currents, waveforms, field patterns, or RF attenuation
Experience assessing and evaluating the capability of HPM and pulsed power driver and power electronic subsystems and components, including batteries, ultra-capacitors, generators, DC-DC convertors, Marx generators, pulse forming networks, solid-state modulators, and transmission lines
Experience conducting basic and applied research for high average or peak power RF sources, high rep-rate Wideband systems, high voltage systems, or thermal management systems
Knowledge of U.S. Armed Services, such as U.S. Navy, R&D initiatives
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical field
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with prototype design and development
Ability to acquire, fabricate, or machine parts or equipment for brass boards, prototypes, test fixtures, test targets, and integration platforms
Master's degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical field
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
