Laser Program Systems Engineer, Senior

As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to deliver products and services to government clients in the directed energy field. You will work on complex technical problems, provide highly innovative solutions, develop advanced technology ideas, and guide system development into a final product. You will participate in program integrated product teams (IPTs) and drive the proper application of systems engineering processes. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize High Energy Laser (HEL) and Counter Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C-ISR) programs. You’ll develop your skills in systems engineering, gaining experience in rapid acquisitions and fielding systems aboard Navy ships, and grow your skills in laser technology, integration, and testing. You Have:

-8+ years of experience with systems engineering (SE)

-Experience as a senior systems engineer with a focus on requirements development, integration planning, and test and evaluation

-Experience with planning integration and test events and reporting verification results

-Experience with analyzing test plans and conducting test readiness reviews

-Experience with writing test reports and managing the requirements verification process

-Experience with the SE process for system acquisitions, including systems engineering plans (SEP), system engineering technical reviews (SETRs), system certification processes, and specialty engineering activities

-Knowledge of the SE discipline across one or more components of the system development life cycle (SDLC), including concept development, technical planning, requirements development, system analysis, system design, integration, verification, transition, operations, obsolescence, and disposal

-Ability to serve as an action officer

-Active Secret clearance

-BS degree in Engineering

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with using the architecture of complex systems to create and manage a tailored model-based systems engineering (MBSE) product to support interface management, system interface control documents, system behavior diagrams, including use case and sequence diagrams, and network diagrams, mapping system requirements to physical and functional architecture, and conducting configuration management of various system configurations

-Experience with architecture development using the MagicDraw tool

-Experience with requirements management using the DOORS tool

-Experience with planning integration and test events and reporting verification results

-Knowledge of other SE disciplines, including configuration management, risk management, Cybersecurity, system safety, and certification processes

-Top Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree in Engineering

-Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
