Radio Frequency Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Develops electronic systems and components to use within equipment or machinery and supports other engineers to perform tasks when necessary. Applies specific functional, working and general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance. May review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in design, development and implementation of digital hardware and software related to RF systems

  • Experience in RF and microwave signal generation and test equipment, vacuum devices, tubes, radars and high power RF systems and digital signal processing

  • Experience conducing basic and applied research for various commercial and non-commercial electronic systems, sensors, antennas, or command and control equipment

  • Experience conducting high power RF or microwave testing and evaluation in laboratory or open-air environments

  • Experience with supporting the U.S. Navy or other Armed Services R&D initiatives

  • Knowledge of the RF effects on targets and potential countermeasures for these effects

  • Ability to survey available technical data, intelligence, and publications to evaluate, document, and down-select existing and future threats and targets to influence the development of capabilities to counter those threats

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science or Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in design, development and implementation of digital hardware and software related to RF systems

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
