Electrical Designer and Drafter, Mid

Key Role:

Work with our team of electrical engineers on developing plans and completing electrical drawings of complex systems and assemblies from notes, verbal instructions, and rough or detailed sketches for engineering purposes, frequently using computerized equipment such as Computer-Aided Design software. Collaborate with engineers, electrical and mechanical drafters as well as other departments and our clients when necessary to apply leading-edge design techniques toward the development of state-of-the-art electrical drawings. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Make computations, write specifications, and make adjustments to drawings or specifications while verifying completed work, and checking materials and quantities to be used. Gather and analyze information, researching materials or parts needed for design by using application handbook data and good working knowledge of available standard parts and components.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with electrical drawing

  • Experience with commensurate

  • Ability to carry out advanced drafting assignments

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.

  • HS diploma or GED

  • Drafting and Design Certifications

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with aircraft electrical design
  • Knowledge of USAF test aircraft mission
  • Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
