Jira and Confluence Project Specialist

Key Role:

Create and manage simplistic to complex Jira Software and Jira Service Management setups including project workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes, and automation to implement solutions while streamlining the user experience and ensuring each approach adheres to guidelines for maintaining peak system performance. Provide impactful designs and implement solutions spanning across the organization with a goal of adding efficiencies and value with each setup. Provide support and expertise for migrating configurations and data into and out of Jira Software, Jira Service Management and Confluence while staying flexible to the timelines and needs of the requesting participants. Support user communities through developing knowledge base articles, sharing tips, providing lessons learned and best practices, fielding questions, supporting change requests, and facilitating training on tool usage. Work collaboratively across an amazing group of well-organized and self-motivated remote individuals to build both short and long term roadmaps with of goal of setting the team up for success. Participate in evaluations, testing, securing, procuring and reporting on activities related to new integrations, AddOns, and base product upgrades as it relates to Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Jira and Confluence UI administration

  • Experience with Agile fundamentals and methodologies

  • Experience with gathering Jira and Confluence administration requests

  • Experience with creating and maintaining both simple and advanced Jira filters and dashboards

  • Experience with Jira automation and best practices with a goal of improving efficiencies and the user insight, while not impacting system performance

  • Ability to think through end goals and determine, test, implement, and manage a wide range of solutions, all while working collaboratively in a remote environment

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks while adapting to changing needs in a fast-paced environment

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working in a professional environment

  • Ability to set and manage expectations

  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail with an eye for identifying process gaps while presenting them as improvement wins

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Possession of excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,100.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
