That’s because you’re a software architect looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big-picture thinking to make an impact in Defense. You understand your customer’s environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution. At Booz Allen, you can use those skills to improve the software technology supporting a DoD agency's mission.

On our team, you'll translate your customer’s software needs and future goals into a plan by developing and implementing effective software architecture, including design, development, maintenance, and operations. You’ll use the latest software control systems, including Java frameworks, AWS, Azure, and GCP specific microservices and tools to design an effective software architecture. Your technical expertise will be vital as you lead the building of software solutions for analytics workspace and data-sharing platforms using Agile and DevSecOps development.

In this role, you’ll directly impact the Aerospace mission by providing real-time solutions to create or improve a robust data-sharing platform. With your advanced technical expertise, mentoring, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, you’ll guide a team that develops the best solutions for our customers.

You Have:  

  • 5+ years of experience with modern software development, including Scaled Agile Framework, Agile methodologies, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Design, DevSecOps, or Security Authentication and Authorization

  • Experience with architecting and solutioning across the digital technology stack and applying full-stack IT modernization approaches

  • Experience with performing in technical engineering leadership roles, including leading technically diverse, medium-sized teams to successfully deliver on complex engineering programs in any cloud computing environment

  • Experience with supporting small- to medium-scale proposal technical sections and solutioning

  • Knowledge of federal agencies technical support

  • Ability to work with IT in designing solutions business and IT needs

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
