Space and Launch Vehicle Integration Engineer, Senior

As an engineer on our team, you’ll work with Booz Allen colleagues and Space Force to develop, rapidly deploy, and integrate the next generation of resilient space, ground, and user capabilities across the Space Enterprise to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters to defeat our enemies in battle. Your customer will trust you to advise, consult, and develop concepts, architecture, and requirements related to space vehicle propulsion, attitude control, and guidance to architect, engineer, integrate, test, and deploy systems to include identifying areas requiring urgent mitigation up front and early to develop system capabilities with advanced technology solutions. Grow your skills by merging innovative engineering methodologies and cross-disciplinary coordination to create tomorrow’s solutions. You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Launch Integration with space vehicle to launch vehicle integration, interface, requirements development, and verification

  • 3+ years of experience with Space, Access, Mobility, and Logistics (SAML) in the area of Rendezvous, Proximity, and Operations (RPO) defining concepts, architecture, and requirements

  • Experience with space vehicle propulsion, attitude control, and guidance subsystems

  • Experience with launch standards and allocation to program requirements

  • Experience in effectively communicating and engaging with senior and executive leadership

  • Experience with identifying, documenting, and analyzing integration activity interdependencies, giver and receiver relationships, issues and risks, and recommending solutions, mitigations, alternatives, and corrective actions for these risks

  • Ability to recommend systems engineering and integration process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce risk, cost, and schedule, and improve integration, communication, and collaboration

  • Ability to perform multiple systems engineering and program management functions in support of design reviews, milestone reviews, and requirements verification, and provide technically based recommendations

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with performing systems engineering, integration, and test on space systems

  • Experience with using the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to manage system definitions and technical baselines

  • Experience with using Atlassian tools

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics

  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
