The Opportunity:

Are you passionate about crafting an amazing user experience? The right ESRI ArcGIS interface can make planning simple and save time and resources when it counts. We’re looking for you, a Geographic Information System (GIS) software developer who will use equal parts skill and vision to build an experience that delivers functionality and efficiency for DoD planners.

This is an opportunity to meet challenges in DoD personnel recovery by collaborating with geospatial analysts and operational practitioners. You’ll work with clients to create a seamless user experience using Python, JavaScript GIS APIs, and the ESRI tool suite. You’ll have privileged access and work with the development team to ensure accessibility for all users by developing tools that function across browsers, platforms, and devices while meeting accessibility and security requirements.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in GIS methodologies with ESRI software applications

  • Experience with Geoprocessing using various forms of Python Library Arcpy and Python Web

  • Experience with the ESRI tool suite, including ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro

  • Experience with handling and conversion of multiple spatial and non-spatial data sources

  • Experience performing GIS web-based development of GIS applications

  • Experience working with DoD clients

  • Ability to work independently and lead a team

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Agile development

  • Experience with source code management tools, including GitLab, GitHub, or BitBucket

  • DoDM 8570 IAM Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
